Summer 2012 | Catch of the Day!

Hi Everyone!

Thank you so much for visiting BillPederson.Org. This is where you will be able to obtain details regarding my Dad’s current progress in his fight for his life against Pancreatic Cancer.

You can catch up by first reading this post and this post, which will shed a little light on my families trials and tribulations since 2011. More recent updates are included on the right sidebar under the “Please Give” image. These updates are jam packed with information, primary for our own reflection and reference, but to also keep you in the loop as well as reach out to those who may be experiencing similar struggles in his or her own life. Everyone has their own battles, and most often when we actually share those hurdles with others we learn we aren’t actually alone. Feel free to forward the information you receive here to others whom you think may benefit.

Quick Summary: On November 1st, 2011, my Dad, Bill, was diagnosed with Stage Four Pancreatic Cancer. Specifically, a Pancreatic Neuroendocrine Tumor (pNET). Upon this diagnosis our world was turned upside down and we immediately moved from Maui, Hawai’i, to Seattle, Washington so my Dad could receive the best treatment possible.

He was doing well, considering, the last year or so; however, recently things drastically changed and my otherwise healthy and strong Dad has been hospitalized 3x since March, suffers chronic abdominal pain, dropped to 145 pounds & is literally fighting for his life.

As you can imagine, my Dad is unable to work and my Mom and I are taking care of him full time. The medical bills continue to mount, leaving my parents in a desperate financial situation each month. While it is difficult to even ask, it would truly mean so much to us if you were able to contribute any amount of donation, one time or monthly, to help eliminate the financial burden this health crisis has caused my family.

Receiving Updates: The easiest way to stay updated is to subscribe to this blog. Published updates are inconsistent since our first priority is to care for Dad.
